The comprehensive utilization of resources
In recent years, in response to national macro policy guidance, the pollution source control for the idea, aiming to develop green efficient exploitation and utilization of resources, the research office of the mineral resources was set up. We focus on the smelting and processing of iron, rare earth and other nonferrous metals mineral resources as well as the comprehensive recovery technology of associated resources, at the same time, the mining solid waste reduction, recycling and disposal of the resources also is our research orientation. In addition, the related mineral smelting and laboratory equipment are configured in research laboratory of mineral resources, such as the magnetic separation, gravity separation, flotation equipment, high-low temperature reaction kettle, magnetic separator, polarizing microscope and other mineral detection equipment. We have undertaken 1 project of national key basic research development plan (973), 2 special items of rare earth industry adjustment upgrade of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, 3 special items of rare earth research of northern rare earth company.

Project indicators:
1. The combined concentration and smelting process of comprehensive recovery of rare earth, iron, fluoride and phosphorus mineral in baotou weak magnetic tailing was established.
2. Yeild of REO in rare earth concentrate is greater than 85%, the grade is more than 50%.
The projects in common key technology research and development of rare earth of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology ---- the research of efficient separation and clean smelting process of rare earth resources in Baiyan Obo
Project indicators:
1. The efficient clean mineral smelting process of rare earth concentrate of Bayan Obo was established.
2. Yeild of REO in rare earth concentrate is greater than 80%, the grade is more than 50%.

Project indicators:
1. The beneficiation process of comprehensive utilization of tailings resources in Bayan Obo was established.
2. Yeild of REO in rare earth concentrate is greater than 70%, the grade is more than 60%.
3. Yeild of CaF2 in fluorite concentrate is more than 75%, the grade is more than 95%;
4. Yield of TFe in iron concentrate of is greater than 60%, the grade is more than 64%
