The Analysis and Testing Center of Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earths (the Analysis and Testing Center for short hereinafter) was founded in 1963. The Center has more than 50 years’ history on inspection. It is entitled “Inner Mongolia Famous Brand Laboratory” by the authoritative department. The Analysis and Testing Center was certified National Accreditation Laboratory by China National Accreditation Committee for Conformity Assessment (CNAS L3016), Measurement Accreditation by Inner Mongolia Quality and Technique Supervision Bureau (CMA 150521340072), and Personnel Training Center and Examining Center granted by National Training Committee for Analyzing & Testing Personnel (NTC/C-2011-0010-R0 and NTC/D-2015-0008-R0).Besides, the Center is the secretary-general organization of testing and standards branch of the Association of China Rare earth Industry, deputy director organization of Nation Rare Earth Standardization Technical Committee and the member of Nonferrous Metals Branch of National Standard Sample Technical Committee. The Center covers an area of 2,000 square meters and has the fixed assets of about 50 million RMB. Over the years, it has drafted more than 60% of national standards for rare earth products and national rare earth analysis methods and undertaken research and preparation of national rare earth standard samples. The Center has won many prizes from the industry, for example China Nonferrous Metals Industry Science &Technology Award, Technical Standard Award of National Rare Earth Standardization Technical Committee and China Standard Innovation and Contribution Award of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China. The Analysis and Testing Center is mainly engaged in the testing and inspection business in the fields of rare earth smelting, functional materials, geological exploration, identification of rock and minerals, environmental monitoring, food, medicine, etc. It provides excellent analysis services for enterprises and trading companies inside and outside China. It can also provide rare earth standard samples and high purity rare earth oxides (4N-5N) for various industries. Furthermore, the Center can provide professional technical consultation on detection technology, personnel training and laboratory management for newly established laboratory or inspection division of an enterprise. Based on the Analysis and Testing Center of Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earths, the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Rare Earth Products was established in May 2008.

The Analysis and Testing Center is a world famous inspection institution on rare earths. It has a strong inspection team and is equipped with sophisticated equipments at home and abroad. The Center strives for providing the independent, impartial and high quality third party inspection services. There are 57 employees in the Center today.
